Addictive game

I still haven't sign this up to my twitter account so don't know about that side.

Normal game works fine. When playing in endless mode it crashes but I am now able to save without the bugs.

They are still some bugs which needs to be fixed in endless mode. Look forward to the next update which could be a while as I think it was 4 months for this one. This update now has ads on the menu screen but pretty much out of the way.

Needs polish

The good: while actually playing, the game is good and the graphics are nice.

The bad: where to start...
1. The setup screen does not remember any settings between games. Want something other than map 1, easy mode, and classic? Change the settings every single time. 1.1 Update: sometimes remembers settings. This actually makes this more frustrating, as you never know which way you have to go through the menu.

2. It's far too easy to misdrop a tower. At first I thought it was my finger slipping a bit, but I get the same issue with a stylus. Combined with the setup not remembering anything, if you want to restart a level because you have had three towers eaten by misplacements blocking the path, change every setting again or you are in a different map and difficulty. 1.1 Update: no change.

3. Save game is bugged. If you start a map and need to stop for something and come back, it defaults to map 1 on reload. Towers are still in place for the map you were on, resulting in a completely unworkable game layout. Zombies also seem to have problems entering the saved map. 1.1 Update: intermittent, like in point 1.

4. Endless isn't. It won't go past level 169 at all. If you shut down the game, reset or restart the iPad, and try again, 1 mob comes out, you kill it, and the game just sits there. 1.1 Update: 1 group of mobs comes out and then it just stops. Endless still isn't.

5. New for 1.1: in endless mode, you cannot upgrade towers. This changes the feel of endgame. In a TD game, it gets very repetitive in upper levels. It's the nature of the game. Here, you don't even have the luxury of the occasional upgrade. From whatever level you finish building towers (I did at level 98), you do nothing but jiggle a tower select button and wish the game had a faster setting for fast forward. This is deliberately making a game LESS interactive.

I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, it did not fix these issues. I can duplicate them 100% of the time. Update: this time I didn't bother. One pass felt like it was already too much. Lowered rating from 3 to 1 star.
